Custom Silver Foil Hang Tags on Black Card

A hang tag is the first thing a customer touches after they pick a product up, and a black one with silver foil does the job in half a second: matte black board absorbs the light, the stamped foil throws it back in a cool, near-chrome flash. These tags are cut from textured uncoated black cardstock, stamped with a heated die and metallised foil, then die-cut with a rounded slot so a cord, ribbon or safety pin threads through without a separate eyelet. A slot takes flat cords, ribbons and safety pins without an eyelet; a drilled hole is cleaner for thin twine. Both are cut in the same pass as the tag outline, so there is no extra tooling step.

Please supply vector files (AI / EPS / PDF) with all fonts converted to outlines, and keep the foil area on its own spot-colour layer so the stamping die can be produced accurately. Keep foil at least 3 mm inside the trim edge and 3 mm clear of the slot or hole — foil that runs too close to a die-cut edge can distort when the tag is punched. Avoid line weights below roughly 0.25 mm and very small reversed-out type, because fine detail fills in under stamping pressure. Large solid foil areas give a stronger flash of metal but cost more than line work, so tell us which elements are essential if budget is tight. Chinese characters, Latin wordmarks and thin geometric marks all need a slightly bolder stroke than they would in print.
